Our founder, Jim McKelvey, co-founder of Square, says LaunchCode works like speed dating: We extensively review employers and employees and match them based on talent need, expertise, and culture fit. We send you profiles of potential matches, and you can interview as many people as you want. When you find a candidate you really like, we recommend you onboard them as an apprentice for 90 days, pairing them with a strong mentor to see them in action. We recommend businesses pay each apprentice $15/hour or more.
At the end of the 90 days, if you want to hire your apprentice LaunchCode asks for a $5,000 placement fee. Businesses have hired more than four out of five apprentices full-time.

We are a nonprofit aiming to solve the tech talent gap in America. And in order to do that, we need top businesses on board as hiring partners.
