LaunchCode is excited to present the 2019 Moonshot Awards! In the spirit of entrepreneur Jim McKelvey, LaunchCode’s Moonshot Awards recognize the efforts of St. Louis trailblazers — those working toward new solutions to better our community.

Celebrate the Moonshot nominees and meet the winners, presented by Jim McKelvey, on May 3rd
The Moonshot Awards Breakfast on Friday, May 3rd will be an uplifting morning celebration, beginning with networking and a flameworking demonstration, followed by a delicious locally-sourced, sustainably-produced breakfast and award ceremony at Third Degree Glass Factory. Optional tours of MADE makerspace will close the event.

The St. Louis regional community is encouraged to honor St. Louis innovators by nominating them for a Moonshot Award.
Nominations remain open until midnight on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Fifty finalists will be announced April 10th.
One individual and one organization winner will be selected in five categories based on LaunchCode’s core values, with the 10 winners announced and presented at the Moonshot Award Breakfast on May 3rd.
Moonshots are bold attempts at a better future. The 2019 Moonshot nominees are trying audacious things to move our region forward, whether those efforts are ultimately successful or not.
The Collaboration Award – Honors the organization or individual who partners most innovatively. Who is joining forces in unexpected, unconventional ways to work across fault lines for a better STL?
The Challenge Award – Recognizes the organization & individual who are challenging convention. Who is forcing tough conversations and then working towards building consensus?
The Dreamer Award – Recognizes the organization & individual who are building brand new approaches to better our community. Who is pushing conventional solutions to the limit
The Commitment Award – Honors the organization & individual who flat-out work hard, and without compromise. Who doesn’t back down in the face of tough odds?
The Inclusion Award – Honors the organization & individual who are on the frontier of advancing inclusion. Who is at the forefront of working toward an equitable St. Louis region?
Anyone in the St. Louis community can nominate a Moonshot recipient.
